Scroll is a zkEVM that is bitecode compatible with Ethereum itself.

This application is specifically for the Scroll Foundation, which stewarding the initial governance design and implementation.

About the Role

Ideally we would find someone who has data skills and is interested in governance. Such a candidate would be able to support with certain analytical projects relating to better understanding and structuring the governance system within Scroll DAO.

This internship is being offered as part of the Ethereum Season of Internships. This application is for a governance focused internship within the Governance team at the Scroll Foundation. The deadline to apply is June 29, 2025 and the 12-week program will begin sometime in August 2025.

Responsibilities

Additionally, any intern could focus on:

• supporting DAO and governance activities
• supporting efforts such as ecosystem growth, global community, and governance iterations from an operation perspective 
• supporting the Governance Futures podcast as needed 
• contributing to the design and refinement of a governance roadmap 
• conducting or supporting research assignemnts the team is exploring directly

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

• strong written and verbal communication 
• interest in DAOs and decentralized governance (some experience in DAOs is preferred but not required)
• ability to work in a global, remote team 
• analytic skills (Python, R, etc.) are preferred but not required
• comfort working in dynamic, fast-paced environments

This is a role that can either be more or less public facing. Interacting directly with the DAO is not a hard requirement and candidates who prefer to work out of the limelight should still consider applying.
