About the Role
The Open Source Team at OpenZeppelin drives the development and adoption of the company’s open-source tools and libraries, which are foundational to building secure and scalable onchain applications. The team focuses on creating innovative developer products, fostering partnerships with blockchain ecosystems, and enabling the growth of Web3 technology through public goods.
This team is cross-functional including product, sales and developer relations. Future plans include scaling the team to support new ecosystems, refining our open-source strategy, and driving adoption of products that align with institutional and ecosystem demands.
Responsibilities
- Market & ecosystem research: Map emerging open-source protocols, tooling and developer communities
- Opportunity identification: Spot gaps where OpenZeppelin can add value (partnerships, grants, integrations)
- Competitor & partner analysis: Compare feature sets, pricing models, community traction
- Sales collateral support: Help draft one-pager briefs, slide decks and proposal outlines for prospects
- Cross-team coordination: Liaise with Solutions, Engineering, Ecosystems and Marketing for alignment
Qualifications
- Familiarity with blockchain fundamentals (EVM, smart contracts)
- Comfortable with Git/GitHub and open-source workflows
- Strong online research and written-communication skills
- Ability to synthesize findings into clear, concise deliverables
Nice to Have
- Intro Solidity or Web3 dev experience
- Basic SQL/Python or data-viz chops for dashboarding
- Prior exposure to technical-sales or solutions engineering
- Experience in an open-source community or DAO
