About the Role
Geode Labs is a digital product studio focused on Ethereum ecosystem development. We build products and programs that support global Ethereum communities, talent, and general ecosystem coordination.
We're seeking a Growth talent to drive both marketing and business development for our products and ecosystem programs. This is a combined role - you'll be building our brand presence and content channels while also closing deals and managing strategic partnerships.
You'll work closely with product, ecosystem, and operations teams to grow our reach, build pipeline, and turn Geode's ecosystem position into real traction.
*Compensation structure: base + commission.
What You Will Do
Marketing & Content Growth
- Own and grow Geode Labs' content channels, including ETHStars and the Local Ethereum newsletter, with a focus on distribution, engagement, and sustained audience growth
- Translate product updates, ecosystem insights, and research into clear, compelling content
- Manage our social presence (primarily X, Substack) and support product and ecosystem launches through clear, thoughtful communication
- Surface and amplify high-quality work from grantees, builders, and communities we support
- Stay plugged into Ethereum ecosystem conversations, trends, and narratives
- Track engagement, iterate on messaging, and refine content strategy over time
Business Development & Partnerships
- Identify potential customers and partners across the Ethereum ecosystem (projects, communities, organizations) and across crypto-adjacent industries (finance, tech, etc)
- Initiate and manage partnership conversations end-to-end: from early exploration and drafting proposals to negotiation, structuring, and closing deals
- Work with internal teams to define business development scope, goals, and success criteria
- Support collaboration on product distribution, ecosystem programs, and joint initiatives (e.g. ETHStars integrations, community partnerships, co-promotions)
- Coordinate with product, EcoDev, marketing, and operations teams to ensure customer relationships and partnerships are executed smoothly
- Maintain clear internal documentation of ecosystem research, external discussions, decisions, and next steps
- Support ad-hoc ecosystem and partnership-related research as needed
What We're Looking For
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Proven ability to sell, to manage a BD lifecycle end-to-end: from initiating conversations to closing deals
- Good intuition for Ethereum and open-source culture, narratives, and community norms
- Ability to turn complex ideas into clear, engaging messaging that drives understanding, interest, and adoption
- Experience managing social media accounts for tech, blockchain, or open-source projects
- Organized and able to manage multiple external relationships alongside content output
- Able to take ownership end-to-end and move work forward independently in an async, remote environment
- Familiarity with Ethereum, Web3 startups, or open-source ecosystems
Nice to Have
- Prior experience in Web3 / Ethereum marketing, BD, partnerships, or community roles
- Existing relationships within Ethereum communities or projects
- Experience with content analytics or growth experimentation
