Ethereum Institutional is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to work directly with banks, asset managers, custodians, and other financial institutions. The position combines engineering, product thinking, and institutional advisory work.

Responsibilities

• Understand institutional systems, workflows, and constraints and translate them into Ethereum solution opportunities.
• Lead technical discovery, integration planning, infrastructure selection, and architecture design.
• Build prototypes, technical demonstrations, reference implementations, and supporting documentation.
• Work with technology, architecture, risk, compliance, and product teams on integration requirements.
• Connect institutional needs with ecosystem providers and contribute findings to standards and best practices.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of software engineering experience with production systems.
• Knowledge of Ethereum, smart contracts, development tooling, and at least one relevant programming language.
• Experience integrating financial, fintech, trading, settlement, custody, or related systems.
• Strong communication skills across technical, nontechnical, and senior institutional audiences.
• Ability to move from problem discovery to practical prototypes.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in solutions engineering, field engineering, or technical consulting.
• Experience with institutional digital assets, cloud infrastructure, security, or compliance.
• Experience creating reusable tools, components, or reference architectures.
