Edge City is a self-described “society incubator” focused on advancing human flourishing through immersive, experimental communities. Rather than traditional conferences or networks, Edge City brings together builders, scientists, creatives, and innovators to inhabit popup villages, temporary communities where residents live, work, and create together for one to two months. These villages emphasize creativity, health, and collaboration in environments designed to foster breakthroughs through shared space and momentum.
Each Edge City village typically hosts a few hundred full‑time residents alongside daily visitors. Life in the village revolves around shared meals, daily workouts, and flexible schedules tailored for collaboration. The model promotes multidisciplinary intersections, co‑creation, and family‑friendly multigenerational programming, blending frontier tech exploration in AI, biotech, cryptography, and governance with healthy living and community building.
Since 2024, Edge City has staged a global network of gatherings including villages in California, South Africa, Austin, Patagonia, and Bhutan, each serving as a living laboratory for social, technological, and cultural experimentation. Their roadmap aims to build a network city, a global ecosystem of experimental hubs sharing knowledge and infrastructure. Projects like ZuPass for privacy-first identity, Edges as a community currency, the Concept Clinic for mental health models, and Argentina’s Crecimiento initiative exemplify how Edge City helps incubate and scale real-world innovations.
